Bosch EDC17C08, C47, C53, C55, C57, C60, C73, C83 and ME17.9.x (Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Isuzu, Suzuki): connections

Connection diagrams for the Bosch ECUs fitted to Asian makes and to the applications shared with PSA: Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Isuzu, Suzuki, Kubota, Mahindra and JMC. Several entries include a BSL connection for boot mode.

Procedure

1. Pin down the designation from the label: EDC17C08 TC1766 (Hyundai, Kia), EDC17C47 TC1782 (Toyota), EDC17C53 TC1767 (Hyundai, Kia, Claas, Deutz, Great Wall, JAC, Mahindra, Same and others), EDC17C55 TC1767 (JMC, Mahindra, Kubota), EDC17C57 TC1793 (Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz), EDC17C60 TC1793 (Citroen, Peugeot, Toyota), EDC17C73 TC1793 (Toyota), EDC17C83 TC1793 (Isuzu); for the petrol units, ME17.9.11 TC1762 (Hyundai, Kia), ME17.9.52 TC1782 (Toyota, Citroen, Peugeot), ME17.9.61 and ME17.9.64 TC1724 (Suzuki).
2. For the EDC17C08 compare the board against the Option 1 and Option 2 drawings and pick the matching diagram.
3. Open the entry's page and check for a "BSL connection" section: it is provided for EDC17C60, EDC17C73 and ME17.9.52.
4. Build the loom following the drawing, respecting the pin numbering and the wire colours.
5. Add the BSL connection if you are working in boot mode, then re-check the loom with the ECU unpowered.
6. Power the ECU on the bench, connect the AVDI and start the read from the software.
7. Save the file you read out as the original and keep it before any write.
