Bench connection diagrams for the new-generation Bosch MD1 and MG1 ECUs (TC298TP, TC299, TC275TP, TC277TP and SPC577). These are the units used on BMW, Mercedes, the VAG group, PSA, Ford, Porsche and New Holland/Case agricultural machines.

⚠ WarningWatch out for variants sharing the same code: the Mercedes-Benz MD1CS006 TC298TP has two different diagrams (Version 1 and Version 2). Before you solder or clip any wire on, compare the actual board layout against the correct photo, otherwise you risk feeding power to the wrong points.
Procedure
Note the ECU's full code and its microcontroller: MD1CP002 SPC577 (MRD1, Mercedes), MD1CP014 TC298TP ABR (Audi), MD1CP032 TC299 (BMW), MD1CE101 TC299 (New Holland, Case), MD1CS001 TC298TP (BMW, Mini), MD1CS003 TC298TP (Citroen, Opel, Peugeot, Vauxhall), MD1CS004 TC298TP (Audi), MD1CS006 TC298TP (Mercedes-Benz, Version 1 or Version 2).
For the MG1 family, identify it the same way: MG1CP002 SPC577 (MRG1, Mercedes), MG1CP007 TC299TP (Porsche), MG1CS002 TC298TP (Audi, Bentley, Porsche), MG1CS003 (BMW), MG1CS011 (Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda), MG1CS015 TC277TP (Ford, Lincoln), MG1CS016 TC275TP (Ford), MG1CS017 TC277TP (Ford), MG1CS201 TC298TP (BMW, Mini), MG1CS042 TC298TP (Citroen, DS, Peugeot).
Open the ECU, clean the contact points and set the board on an antistatic surface: the manual diagrams show the points directly on the board, not on the vehicle connector.
Make the bench connection following the photo for your variant, starting with ground and power and finishing with the data lines; check continuity with the ECU unpowered.
Check one last time that you are using the diagram for the correct version (in particular MD1CS006 Version 1 versus Version 2), and only then apply voltage.
Connect the AVDI, start the ECU Programming Tool, select the ECU and always begin with a full read saved to file before writing anything.
