The manual also covers the Bosch ECUs on motorcycles, quads and personal watercraft: BMW bikes, Ducati, Can-Am, Sea-Doo and Polaris. Here is how to find the right entry and set the connection up.
Procedure
Identify the ECU from the label: ME17.2 BMS-X TC1797 (BMW bikes), ME17.2.4 TC1793 (BMW bikes), ME17.8.5 TC1766 (Can-Am, Sea-Doo), ME17.9.21 TC1724 (Ducati, Hyundai), ME17.9.7 TC1766 (Lada, Peugeot, Polaris, UAZ), ME17.9.74 TC1762 (Polaris). Check the Tricore microcontroller on the board and compare it with the one named in the manual entry heading. Open the matching page and build the loom as per the drawing, respecting pins and wire colours. For the ME17.9.21 TC1724 use the "BSL connection" diagram given in the same section if you need to work in boot mode. Power the ECU on the bench with a stable supply and connect the AVDI. Start the read from the software and save the original file before any write.
