On these ECUs you can read the configuration data and erase the IMMO code; the car will run with the code erased provided the immobiliser line is disconnected from the ECU. This guide gives the exact immo line pins and the DB9 harnesses for bench work.

⚠ WarningWith the IMMO code erased the car only runs if the immobiliser line is disconnected from the ECU. After the erase the ECU self-learns on the first ignition cycle if a valid signal from the immobiliser is present: without a valid signal the engine will not start.
Procedure
Identify the ECU. Sagem SAFIR/SAFIR2 and Magneti Marelli SFR200: internal TMS374 MCU, 256 KB of configuration data; you can read the TMS374 configuration data and erase the IMMO code. Magneti Marelli IAW 6R.20/6R.30: TMS370 MCU, 256 bytes of configuration data inside the MCU.
Note which functions are available on the Magneti Marelli units: on the 6R.20 you can read and write the configuration data, on the 6R.30 you can read the configuration data and erase the IMMO code.
Find the immobiliser line to disconnect: SAFIR/SFR200 with the 35 pin connector, immo line on pin 30; with the 55 pin connector, immo line on pin 37. On IAW 6R.20/6R.30 the immobiliser line is pin 25.
DB9 Female wiring for SAFIR/SAFIR2/SFR200, 35 pin version (DB9 pin - ECU pin): 1-4.34, 2-18, 3-9, 4-20, 5-10.
DB9 Female wiring for SAFIR/SAFIR2/SFR200, 55 pin version (DB9 pin - ECU pin): 1-2.18, 2-1, 3-11, 4-48, 5-38.
