Renault SID301, SIRIUS 32 and SIM32: DB9 Female pinout and ECU data for bench work

Renault/Dacia Interface Classic Hardware / Connections Advanced ⏱ 30-60 min 8 steps

Technical data and DB9 harnesses for bench work on Renault SID301, SIRIUS 32 and Siemens SIM32 ECUs: reading and updating configuration data and flash, and erasing the IMMO code.

Required licences

Hardware / cables

  • AVDI
  • adattatore OBDII a DB9 Male
  • connettore DB9 Female
  • cablaggio banco
⚠ WarningAfter the IMMO code is erased the ECU self-learns on the first ignition cycle, but a valid signal from the immobiliser system is needed for the engine to start.

Procedure

  1. Identify the ECU. SID301: MPC561 MCU, external AM29BDD160GB flash of 2 MB, configuration data in a 4 KB 95320 EEPROM. SIRIUS 32: SAK-C167SR-LM or SAK-C167CR-LM MCU, external AM29F200BB flash of 256 KB. SIM32 (Siemens): HD64F7055 MCU with 512 KB of FLASH, 2 KB of configuration data in a 95160 EEPROM.
  2. Prepare the OBDII to DB9 Male adapter towards the AVDI and a DB9 Female connector for the harness to the ECU.
  3. SID301 wiring (DB9 Female pin - ECU connector - ECU pin): 1-C-H4, 2-C-D1, 3-B-G4, 4-C-A4, 5-C-A3.
  4. SIRIUS 32 wiring (DB9 Female pin - ECU connector - ECU pin): 1-B-28, 2-B-30, 3-B-29, 4-B-56, 5-A-66, 6-A-39, 7-B-26.
  5. SIM32 wiring (DB9 Female pin - ECU connector - ECU pin): 1-C-H4, 2-A-G1, 3-C-D1, 4-C-A4, 5-C-B4, 6-C-A3, 7-B-J1, 8-B-G1.
  6. Connect and power the ECU on the bench, then open the configuration data and flash read/update function in the software.
  7. Save the original configuration data and flash to file before writing anything.
  8. Carry out the write or the IMMO erase required, then refit the ECU and check that it starts with a valid immobiliser signal.
