Renault X95 from 2011 with updated immobiliser software: cards via ABPROG

From around 2011 X95 cars carry updated immobiliser software that no longer allows work over OBDII. With ABRITES Diagnostics for Renault you can still make the cards, but you have to read the immobiliser with the ABPROG first.

⚠ WarningOn these immobilisers key learning and PIN reading over OBDII are no longer possible: without reading the dump with the ABPROG first, the procedure cannot succeed.

Procedure

  1. Spot the case: connect to the vehicle and open the key function. If the existing key IDs are shown as "09090909", you are looking at an immobiliser with updated software.
  2. If you press "Learn" or "Read PIN Code" on an immobiliser of this type, the software shows a warning telling you to read the immobiliser with the ABPROG first.
  3. Remove and read the immobiliser with the ABPROG following the ABPROG user manual, saving the dump to file.
  4. Go back into the Renault/Dacia software: when the warning appears press "Yes" only after you have actually read the immobiliser dump.
  5. Load the dump you read when prompted and carry on with preparing the cards.
  6. Complete the learning following the on-screen instructions and check cranking with every programmed card.
