Pin down the designation from the label: EDC17C49 TC1797 (Alfa Romeo, FIAT, Iveco, Jeep, Lancia, New Holland, Case, Caterpillar, Claas, John Deere, Steyr, Suzuki and other agricultural machines), EDC17C69 TC1793 (Alfa Romeo, FIAT, Iveco, Jeep, Suzuki), EDC17C79 TC1797 (Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati), ME17.3.0 TC1724 (Abarth, Alfa Romeo, FIAT).
Check the microcontroller on the board: EDC17C49 and C79 are TC1797, the C69 is TC1793 and the ME17.3.0 is TC1724.
Open the manual page for the entry you found and build the loom as per the drawing, respecting pins and wire colours.
For the EDC17C79 TC1797 use the "BSL connection" diagram given under the entry if you need to work in boot mode.
Power the ECU on the bench and check the voltage before connecting the AVDI.
Connect the AVDI and start the read from the software.
Save the original file and keep it before moving on to any write.
