Reads the complete immobilizer data straight from a working key (Key ID, Secret Key/CS, synchronisation data, platform info) with no third-party information required. It lets you add a spare key to MQB Immo 5C/5D without reading the immobilizer, or pull the immo data for ECU/TCU/ELV replacement.
Required licences
Licenza VAG (Immo 5C/5D)
Hardware / cables
AVDI
ZN085
Cavo CB503
CB012 (per SFD/CAN interno)
⚠ WarningVAG models that changed platform after 2021 use SFD1: the Gateway blocks communication with the immobilizer, so you need to tap into the internal CAN with CB012 (twisted CAN pair: orange/green = CAN-H, orange/brown = CAN-L). For SFD2 (EVs and models built after July 2024) the Gateway must first be unlocked with the OEM diagnostic tester, after which you have a 30-minute window for key learning.
Procedure
Split the working key's housing and get access to the PCB.
Solder the CB503 cable to the connection points on the PCB following the diagram in the NCF menu of the ZN085 software.
Read the NCF MCU to extract the Key ID, Secret Key (CS), synchronisation data and platform info.
OEM key programming (new or used): prepare it as a Dealer Key with the ZN085, then run "Key Learning by CS". Virgin aftermarket key: prepare it with the PROTAG, then run "Key Learning by CS".
For module replacement (ECU/TCU/ELV): using a working key from the donor vehicle, work with the extracted immo data — there is no need to read the donor module or buy synchronisation data.
