CAN Gateway cables and adapters: CB601, CB602, CB603, CB604 and the ZN084 power supply

Each truck module has its own dedicated cable: using the wrong cable or the wrong connector on the gateway is the most common mistake on the bench. Here you will find what each CAN Gateway cable is for, which connector it goes on and which vehicles it is declared compatible with.

Procedure

1. CB601 - CAN GATEWAY Connection Cable: this is the cable that connects the ZN081 to the AVDI interface and always goes on connector "A" of the gateway. It is included in the ZN181 set.
2. CB602 - TRUCK EZS/EIS Connection Cable: connects the truck's ignition switch/EZS/EIS unit to the ZN081 on the bench. It goes on connector "B". It is included in the ZN181 set and requires the MN031 licence.
3. CB603 - TRUCK MCM Connection Cable: used to connect the Master Control Modules (MCM) to the ZN081 or directly to the AVDI. On the gateway it goes on connectors "C" or "D". It is not included in the base ZN181 set.
4. CB604 - TRUCK TCU Connection Cable: used to connect TCU/TCM transmission control units to the ZN081 on the bench (part of the ZN181 set) or to the AVDI. On the gateway it goes on connectors "C" or "D". It is not included in the base ZN181 set.
5. Declared compatibility for the CB602, CB603 and CB604 cables: Mercedes-Benz Actros, Arocs, Antos, Travego, Tourismo 3rd generation and Setra with IR keys (and other models in the bus range with IR keys).
6. ZN084 - 24V/4A DC power supply: used when the module you are working on requires a 24V supply. The box contains the desktop power supply (mains input 80/264VAC, output 24VDC), the Uni-Schuko/IEC C13 mains cable and the DC-Jack to banana plug adapter cable. It is compatible with the ZN081 CAN Gateway and with the ZN051 DS-BOX.
7. If the power supply output does not fit the gateway socket, use the DC Jack adapter F 5.5x2.1 to M 5.5x2.5 supplied in the ZN181 set.
8. Always keep the set's 5A fuse to hand: it must be fitted in its holder on the ZN081 before applying power, in all three bench configurations (MCM, TCU, EZS).
