Nissan 2019+ odometer calibration via internal CAN (UCH Type 1 with CB021 and Type 2 SWEET 400 with CB012)

This function calibrates the instrument cluster on Nissans from 2019 onwards, with analogue or virtual dials, and automatically switches off the synchronisation between ABS and cluster the moment the new value is written. The connection is made through the vehicle's internal CAN.

Procedure

1. Check that the vehicle is supported: Nissan Juke F16 2019-2023 (analogue), Qashqai J12 2020-2023 (analogue and virtual), X-Trail/Rogue T33 2020-2023 (analogue and virtual), Sentra B18 2020+ (analogue), Skyline 2021+ (analogue), Mitsubishi Outlander 2020-2023 (analogue and virtual) and other models with the same clusters, fitted with S6J329, S6J328, S6J332 or S6J32L MCUs.
2. Establish which UCH type the car has: that decides whether you work with the CB021 cable (Type 1) or the CB012 (Type 2, UCH SWEET 400).
3. UCH Type 1 - connection: connect to the vehicle through the OBDII port and, for the internal CAN, use the CB021 cable, which on these vehicles is a plug and play solution. The CB021 goes onto connector DS1 (grey).
4. UCH Type 2 (SWEET 400) - connection: connect to the vehicle through the OBDII port and to the internal CAN with the CB012 cable, hooking the needle probes onto connector DS3 (green): CB012 red needle on CAN H, blue wire, pin 2; CB012 black needle on CAN L, pink wire, pin 3.
5. Start the cluster calibration function in the software and read the current mileage.
6. Change the mileage value as required and write it.
7. When the new value is written the software automatically switches off the ABS-to-cluster synchronisation: nothing else needs doing.
8. Unhook the needle probes or the CB021 cable, refit the connectors, cycle the cluster and check that the displayed value is the one you wrote.
9. Run "Scan" and "Clear Faults" to clear any DTCs thrown up while tapping into the internal CAN.
