Actuator Testing on Nissan and Infiniti

Nissan/Infiniti Interface New Diagnostics Basic ⏱ 10-30 min 6 steps

Actuator testing lets you drive motors, solenoids and valves directly to check they work. It confirms the real cause of a fault without guesswork and validates a repair or a replacement.

  • AVDI

Procedure

  1. Open the software and, from the main screen, select the module you want to work on.
  2. Once inside the module, select "Actuators".
  3. Choose the specific actuator to be tested from the list.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to start the test procedure.
  5. Monitor the actuator's response (noise, movement, click) and the real-time data returned by the software, checking that it falls within the expected parameters.
  6. If the actuator does not respond or responds out of specification, you have found the component to replace; after the repair repeat the test to validate it.
