Calculating and extracting the Nissan/Infiniti PIN Code (ICU, SEC, BCM, OBDII, glovebox label)

The "PIN Code" special function reads or calculates the Nissan/Infiniti immobiliser PIN. It is the mandatory step before key programming, because the key learning procedure requires the vehicle PIN.

Procedure

1. Connect the AVDI to the vehicle's OBDII socket and start "Abrites Diagnostics for Nissan/Infinity".
2. From the main screen open the "Special functions" tab: the menu of available special functions appears.
3. Select "PIN Tool" from the menu box and double-click to open it.
4. Choose the method according to the data you have available: "PIN Calculator by ICU or SEC numbers" if you have the ICU or SEC number of the immobiliser unit.
5. Alternatively use "PIN Calculator by BCM number" if you have the BCM number.
6. If you have no numbers to read off the components, use "PIN Code extraction by OBDII": the PIN is extracted directly from the vehicle through the diagnostic socket.
7. If the car still has the glovebox label, use "PIN Calculator by 12 digit Glovebox label" and enter the 12-digit code.
8. If you have the long code, use "PIN Calculator by 20 digit PIN" and enter the 20 digits.
9. Write down the PIN obtained: you will need it for the key learning procedure described under the "Key Learning" special function.
