The ZN051 Distribution Box is the Abrites breakout box that sits between the AVDI and the OBDII socket. Its main jobs are extracting the password from the Mercedes EZS (special function MN026) up to 10 times faster, and reading engine ECUs in boot mode, for example EDC17/MED17 on VAG with VN004.

⚠ WarningThe ZN051 contains a hidden relay that automatically switches the ignition off and back on during the procedure: do not unplug any cables while the LED shows work in progress. K7 must be used when you export the password from the Mercedes EZS with the relay method - K1 will not work for that.
Procedure
Fit the ZN051 in line between the AVDI and the vehicle OBDII socket: the Distribution Box is designed to sit cleanly between the two, without improvised adapters.
Check the contents of the set (9 pieces): Distribution Box, long CAN HI and CAN LOW cables, needle connectors, DB25 connector cable, fuse adapter cable, crocodile clip cable, K-line cable, DB15 connector cable for boot mode and the pin connectors used for updating the EM001. The kit also includes 5 resistors.
For CAN use the top ports: the first red and blue pair is CAN HI and CAN LOW on pins 6-14; the second pair below is CAN HI and CAN LOW on pins 3-11. These ports are mainly used to virginize and adapt Mercedes TCUs and ECUs with MN026.
For K-line use the two green ports K1 and K7. To export the password from the Mercedes EZS with the relay method, connect K7.
Connect the fuse adapter cable to the two relay ports (both red): that is the path that lets the internal relay cut and restore the ignition automatically.
To update the EM001 emulator use the B+ and GND ports of the Distribution Box together with the pin connectors from the kit.
For boot mode (engine ECU reading, for example EDC17/MED17 on VAG with VN004) connect the DB15 Boot Mode Connector cable to the ZN051 and to the boot points on the ECU on the bench.
Watch the built-in LED to monitor the fuse relay working during the procedure.
Keep the ZN051 up to date: the Distribution Box is updateable, and without the update the new functions are not available.
