The ZN030 ABPROG programmer, together with its adapters and the Abrites EEPROM Programmer software, lets you erase and write SPI EEPROM memories, including those with incremental registers. You use it when the job cannot be done over OBD and you have to work straight on the memory.

Procedure
Check you have the right hardware for the job: ZN030 ABPROG as the base programmer, ZN031 as the M35XXX/SPI/I2C adapter, ZN034 as the flat connection cable and, for Hitag 2 key renewal, the ZN046 adapter.
Connect the ABPROG to the AVDI and to the PC following the wiring diagram for the adapter you are using, with the ZN034 flat cable going to the memory to be read.
Start the programmer software from: Start -> Programs -> "ABRITES software for IDxxxxxx" -> ABPROG -> ABPROG.exe.
Find in the software the memory type you are dealing with (SPI EEPROM, with or without incremental registers; M35XXX family via ZN031).
Do a full read of the memory first and save the original dump as a backup before any write.
Carry out the required operation (erase or write) and check it with a fresh verification read.
For full details on pinouts, adapters and supported memories see the dedicated manual installed under: Start -> Programs -> ABRITES -> Common -> ABPROG.
