Mercedes-Benz odometer emulators: EM008, EM009, EM014 and EM018 for W204, W205, W212 and W213

Abrites emulators for odometer correction and calibration on Mercedes-Benz FBS3 and FBS4 instrument clusters. Each part number covers specific models: pick the wrong one and you simply cannot connect to the cluster.

⚠ WarningThe EM010 - Renault ESL emulator with Clio IV type connector mentioned in the same section is obsolete and has been replaced by the EM018; for Mercedes work only from the EM008, EM009, EM014 and EM018 part numbers according to model.

Procedure

  1. Identify the vehicle model and immobilizer system: FBS3 or FBS4, and the cluster series (W204, W205, W207, W212 or W213).
  2. For odometer calibration on W204, W205 and W212 (FBS3/FBS4) use the EM008 - Mercedes odometer calibration emulator.
  3. For odometer correction on W204 and W212 (FBS3/FBS4) with a jumper cable already made up for the cluster, use the EM009 - Mercedes odometer correction emulator with jumper cable for dash.
  4. For odometer calibration on W204, W212 and W205 (FBS3/FBS4) with a jumper cable for the cluster, use the EM018 - odometer calibration with jumper cable for dash.
  5. For odometer calibration on W213 use the EM014 - odometer calibration emulator for Mercedes-Benz W213.
  6. Connect the emulator to the instrument cluster with the supplied jumper cable, connect the AVDI, then start the Abrites software for Mercedes.
  7. Run the procedure from the matching menu and check the reading on the cluster before you refit everything.
