"Key Tool" prepares a key that is already able to start the vehicle when you have the dump of the immobiliser system. Use it when the key cannot be made by diagnostics and you have to work on the memory content of the IMMO module.

⚠ WarningDifferent programmers read the immobiliser dump differently, NORMAL or SWAPED. If the key or transponder does not work after programming, you have to SWAP the dump, reload it into the software and program a new key or a new transponder.
Procedure
Read the memory of the vehicle's immobiliser module with a programmer and save the dump to a file.
Connect the PROTAG, start the Tag Key Tool and select the "Key Tool" utility from the drop-down menu on the main screen.
In the drop-down list that appears select the vehicle model and immobiliser system. For each entry the list shows the model, the immobiliser module, the type of memory where the key data is stored and the transponder/key needed for programming.
Make sure you actually have the transponder or key that the list specifies for that model.
Press "Load Dump" and load the immobiliser dump file you read earlier.
With the dump loaded, select the exact key position you want to program.
Place the transponder or key in the PROTAG, in the correct slot and away from metal, then press "Prepare Key".
When programming is finished, if prompted, enter the file name for saving the modified dump: that file is the dump to be written back into the module where the procedure requires it.
Test the key on the vehicle. If it does not work, SWAP the dump, reload it with "Load Dump" and repeat the preparation on a new key or a new transponder.
