AVDI cables for bikes, marine engines and trucks: CB301-CB306, CB201-CB205, CB009 and the J1850 adapter

A working list of the cables that let the AVDI connect to vehicles without a standard OBDII socket: bikes, outboard engines and trucks. Pick the wrong one and you simply will not get a connection.

Procedure

1. Bikes: use CB301 for Aprilia, CB302 for KTM, CB303 for Benelli, CB304 for Suzuki (6 pin), CB305 for Harley-Davidson and CB306 for Piaggio.
2. Marine engines: use CB201 for Suzuki Marine type 1, CB202 for Suzuki Marine type 2 (round connector), CB203 for Yamaha Marine and CB204 for Evinrude.
3. For flash updating Evinrude engines use the dedicated CB205 - Evinrude flash update cable.
4. For BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products) machines use the CB007 - cable for connecting AVDI and BRP.
5. Trucks and heavy vehicles: use the 6-pin Deutsch or the 9-pin Deutsch cable according to the socket on the vehicle; for the J1708 line on the 6-pin Deutsch use the CB009 - AVDI cable for trucks Deutsch 6 pin (J1708).
6. On vehicles using the J1850 protocol, fit the dedicated J1850 adapter between AVDI and socket.
7. With the correct cable connected, start the Abrites software and confirm that communication with the vehicle is established before carrying out any operation.
