On Nissan and Infiniti there is no dedicated button for module adaptation: a new or virgin module is adapted by running the key learning procedure. This applies both to the engine ECU and to non-immobiliser modules such as the navigation unit.

⚠ WarningIf you are fitting a second-hand ECU, BEFORE virginising it you must read all the unit information with Nissan Consult (full backup): that backup holds vehicle-specific data, injector data for example, which cannot be recovered any other way. The backup does not, however, contain the immobiliser information.
Procedure
Establish which case you are dealing with: a new/virgin unit, or a second-hand unit already married to another vehicle.
New or virgin ECU: fit the unit to the vehicle, then run the key learning procedure ("Key Learning") described in the dedicated guide straight away: that is what adapts the module.
Second-hand ECU, step 1: with Nissan Consult read and save the unit information (full backup), which includes vehicle-specific data such as the injector data.
Second-hand ECU, step 2: obtain a virgin dump and write it to the unit with the ECU Programming software, so the ECU goes back to virgin.
Second-hand ECU, step 3: with Consult write the data you saved in the backup back into the unit.
Second-hand ECU, step 4: run the key learning procedure to complete the adaptation.
Navigation unit replacement: after fitting the replacement nav unit you still have to run key learning, otherwise the unit will not be fully functional, even though it is not an immobiliser-related module.
Bear in mind that the VIN is only held in the engine ECU: keep that in mind when you check data consistency after the swap.
When finished run "Scan", check the DTCs and wipe them with "Clear Faults", then test cranking and the operation of every key.
