⚠ WarningThe procedure is time-critical: for the ignition ON and ignition OFF actions, both with the working key and with the new one, you have a 30-second window shown by an on-screen countdown. If you miss the timings or the on-screen prompts the programming fails.
Procedure
First check how many keys are already registered with "Current key count": the limit is 4 keys. If it has been reached, run "Erase all keys" first with the working key.
Connect the AVDI to the OBDII socket and make sure you have the working key and the new key (with DST-AES transponder) to hand.
From the main screen press "Immobilizer" and select "Key Registration".
Follow the on-screen messages to the letter: the procedure is guided and tells you when to switch the ignition on and off with the working key.
When prompted, insert the new key and switch the ignition ON within the 30 seconds shown by the on-screen timer.
Repeat the step for each further key to be programmed, always respecting the 30-second window.
When finished, check with "Current key count" that the number of keys has gone up as expected.
Run the ECM registration ("Engine ECM registration"): on some vehicles it starts automatically, on others it has to be launched manually after key programming.
Try starting the engine with each key, old and new.
