  • CB106 - cavo OBDII SAE J1962

Procedure

  1. Check that the vehicle you have to work on uses the SAE J1850 protocol: PW at 10.4 kbps or PWM at 41.6 kbps.
  2. Unplug the OBDII cable from the AVDI.
  3. Fit the J1850 adapter between the AVDI and the OBDII cable using the DB25 connectors: AVDI DB25 side on one end, OBDII cable on the other.
  4. Plug the OBDII cable into the vehicle diagnostic socket.
  5. Start the Abrites diagnostic software: no extra setting is needed in the software, the adapter works transparently.
  6. When the job is done, remove the adapter if you are going back to standard CAN/K-Line vehicles.
