DPF regeneration and injector coding/calibration on Renault/Dacia

Renault/Dacia Interface New Service Medium ⏱ 30-60 min 8 steps

Service functions included in the Renault/Dacia Online software: particulate filter regeneration and injector coding/calibration after replacement.

Required licences

Hardware / cables

  • AVDI
  • cavo OBDII CB101 o CB106
⚠ WarningBefore starting a DPF regeneration check that the conditions required by the software are met: if they are not, do not launch the procedure.

Procedure

  1. Plug the AVDI into the OBDII port and open the Renault/Dacia Online software through to vehicle identification.
  2. Before anything else read the engine DTCs and fix any faults: a regeneration on an engine in fault is a non-starter.
  3. DPF REGENERATION: open the regeneration function and check the required conditions on screen (engine parameters and filter status). Only go ahead if they are all met.
  4. Make the vehicle safe in a well-ventilated area, with the exhaust gases ducted outside and the wheels chocked, then start the regeneration and let it run through without interruption.
  5. When it finishes check the DPF parameters again and clear the DTCs.
  6. INJECTOR CODING: open the injector calibration function after replacing one or more injectors.
  7. Enter the calibration codes printed on the new injectors, making sure each one matches the cylinder it is fitted to.
  8. Confirm the write, cycle the ignition off and on, then re-read the values to check the codes have been stored correctly and clear the DTCs.
