Service Zero Reset: resetting the service/oil change indicator on Peugeot/Citroën

The Service zero reset function tells the vehicle that the maintenance has been carried out. After an oil change, for example, the car has no other way of knowing unless you code it in. The function works both on K-Line vehicles and on those using the CAN protocol, and the reset is done in a single pass.

Procedure

1. Complete the maintenance work on the vehicle first (an oil change, for example): the reset declares to the car that the service has been done.
2. Connect the AVDI to the OBD-II socket and switch the ignition on.
3. Confirm you have communication with the vehicle, for example with a unit scan or a DTC read.
4. Open the "Special functions" tab and select the Service zero reset function.
5. Run the reset: it completes in a single pass, both on K-Line vehicles and on CAN vehicles.
6. Cycle the ignition off and on and check on the dashboard that the service indicator has been reset.
