Reading the PIN in seconds with the ZN094 emulator on Delphi BSI 2016+/2021+ (including AKL)

PSA Interface New Keys / Immo Advanced ⏱ 15-30 min (plus 30 min waiting time for key learning) 11 steps

On Peugeot and Citroën models with Delphi BSI 2016+ and 2021+, the ZN094 emulator lets you read the PIN directly in a matter of seconds, even with all keys lost, without reading the BSI EEPROM or the PIN from the engine ECU. The same emulator then doubles as an emergency start device.

Required licences

  • PN020

Hardware / cables

  • AVDI
  • ZN094
  • ZN094M
  • ZN094K
⚠ WarningThe ZN094 kit contains two different emulators: ZN094M for vehicles with a mechanical key and ZN094K for keyless vehicles. Use the correct one for the car. If you are using a mechanical key, make sure there is no transponder in the key at that moment. Getting the PIN with the emulator does NOT remove the 30-minute waiting time required to learn a new key.

Procedure

  1. Check that the PN020 licence is active on your interface (check in the "License Viewer").
  2. Connect the AVDI to the OBDII socket, feed the vehicle from an external power supply and connect the correct ZN094 emulator: ZN094M for a mechanical key, ZN094K for keyless.
  3. Open the PSA Online software and select the vehicle model.
  4. Enter the "Key Learning" menu and select "Learn Keys".
  5. Hold the Start button as usual to begin the procedure.
  6. When the software recognises the licence and the ZN094 emulator, it asks you to hold the emulator near the vehicle's antenna (emergency slot) and to switch to IGNITION ON. If you are using a mechanical key, check that it does not contain the transponder.
  7. Wait for the read: the PIN Code appears on screen, usually within 30 seconds. The software may ask you to repeat IGNITION ON a second time.
  8. Note down and save the PIN you have read.
  9. Carry on following the on-screen instructions of the normal key learning wizard.
  10. Remember that the 30-minute waiting time still applies for learning the new key: do not disconnect anything while you wait.
  11. If needed, use the ZN094 emulator for the emergency start of the vehicle.
