Programming Sentry Key keys (SKIM) with ignition-on timings

Procedure for programming new Sentry Key keys on Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles through the SKIM module. The key's RKE remote is programmed during the same procedure. Up to 8 keys in total can be programmed.

Procedure

1. Connect the AVDI to the OBD-II socket, open the Immobiliser "SKIM" Special Function, select the vehicle (or "AUTODETECT") and press "Select".
2. Enter the PIN in the "PIN Code:" field; if you do not know it, press "Get Values" first to read it from the SKIM module.
3. Press the "Program Keys" button.
4. Insert the first valid key in the ignition lock and switch the ignition ON for at least 3 seconds, but no more than 15 seconds. Then switch the ignition OFF and remove the key.
5. Insert the second valid key and switch the ignition ON within 15 seconds. After ten seconds you will hear an audible signal and the Theft Alarm Light starts flashing. Switch the ignition OFF and remove the second key.
6. Insert the virgin Sentry Key and switch the ignition ON within 60 seconds. After 10 seconds you will hear a single audible signal: the theft alarm light stops flashing, stays on for 3 seconds and then goes out. The new key is programmed, along with its RKE remote.
7. Repeat the sequence for each additional key, up to a maximum of 8 keys programmed to the vehicle.
8. Check every key by starting the engine and letting it run for more than 10 seconds: if the Sentry Key lamp flashes or the engine cuts out after 2 seconds, the key has not been accepted and the procedure must be done again.
