When replacing a faulty DME/DDE or working on an all keys lost case you have to read the ISN from the DME and write it into the CAS. Depending on the type of CAS, the ISN is written either in plain text or encrypted.

⚠ WarningIdentify the type of CAS before writing: on CAS units with encryption you must press "Encrypt CAS ISNs" after pasting the ISN, otherwise authentication with the DME will fail.
Procedure
Read the ISN from the DME/DDE (engine ECU replacement or all keys lost case).
Identify the type of CAS: without encryption or with encryption.
CAS without encryption: copy and paste the ISN read from the DME/DDE into the CAS ISN field and press the pencil icon on the right-hand side.
CAS with encryption: copy and paste the ISN into the CAS ISN field, press the pencil icon on the right-hand side and then press "Encrypt CAS ISNs".
Synchronise the CAS with the DME from "Keys and start synchronization" > "Synchronize CAS&DME".
Disconnect the car battery for 1 minute, then reconnect it and check that the engine starts.
