This takes the FEM/BDC unit back to virgin state, meaning no ISN, no immobiliser data and none of the other information tied to a specific vehicle. It is the prerequisite for being able to adapt the unit to another car.

⚠ WarningPowering at 13.6 Volts or more is essential for the procedure to complete: an external power supply is mandatory. The unit must already have been prepared: without preparation the Virginize entry is not available.
Procedure
Prepare the FEM/BDC unit first with the relevant preparation procedure: without this step the EWS functions do not appear.
Connect the external power supply and check that the voltage is 13.6V or above.
Open "Keys And Start Synchronization" and then "EWS Manager".
Go into the "EWS Functions" menu and select "Virginize": with a prepared unit it is a one-click solution.
When it is done the unit is virgin and no longer holds any vehicle-specific data (no ISN, no immobiliser data) and can be adapted with the FEM/BDC Adaptation procedure.
Note: if you use the "Restore EWS Data" option, the unit is virginized automatically before the new data is loaded.
Bear in mind that after adapting a virgin unit you still have to program a key to make the vehicle work and start.
