This lets you save all the immobiliser data from an original FEM/BDC/CAS4 (VIN, key information, frequency type) and transfer it to a used module taken from a donor car. Once the data has been transferred, the donor module works exactly like the original: no adaptation and no new key programming are needed, and a key can be ordered from the dealer for that vehicle.

⚠ WarningTo read the immobiliser data the module first has to be "prepared/unlocked" by starting the EWS Manager procedure: without this step the data cannot be read. The "Save short immo data" option saves a file that does NOT contain the car's full immo data: it cannot be used for a full adaptation or for restoring the module, and you will still need the ISN later on.
Procedure
Connect the AVDI to the vehicle (or to the bench) and start the Abrites Diagnostics for BMW/Mini software.
"Prepare/unlock" the ORIGINAL FEM/BDC/CAS4 (the one from the donor car's counterpart, i.e. the original vehicle) by starting the procedure from "Keys and Start synchronization" > "EWS Manager".
With the module prepared/unlocked, select the "Save EWS Data" option from the "EWS Functions" menu.
Choose how to save the immo data from the module: "DME/DDE ISN" if you have the ISN, which you enter manually before saving to file; or "Working Key" if you have a working key for the vehicle, which you use to let the procedure continue and save the file.
Avoid "Save short immo data" if you need the file for a full module adaptation: that file does not hold the car's complete immo data.
Save the immobiliser data backup file to a safe folder.
"Prepare/unlock" the NEW FEM/BDC/CAS4 (the one from the donor car) by starting the same procedure on it from "Keys and Start synchronization" > "EWS Manager".
With the module prepared/unlocked, select the "Restore EWS Data" option from the "EWS Functions" menu and load the file saved at step 6.
