Adapts a 6HP EGS transmission control unit on BMW E series cars. On E series the 6HP is synchronised only with the CAS, so the adaptation is done on the car with a guided procedure.
Procedure
- Connect the AVDI to the vehicle's OBDII socket and start the BMW/Mini software.
- Open the path "Keys and start synchronization" > "ISN codes" > "ISN in EGS".
- Start the wizard and follow the on-screen prompts.
- When the software asks for it, enter the DME ISN or place a working key from the vehicle in the PROTAG programmer.
- Let the wizard run through to the adaptation successful confirmation.
- Check that the gearbox works properly and that there are no synchronisation DTC left.
