Calculating the PIN and CS of Immo III and Immo IV ECU/TCU

VAG Interface Classic Keys / Immo Medium ⏱ varies 5 steps

A function that reads the PIN and CS of Immo III and Immo IV generation engine and transmission ECUs, i.e. CAN-Bus vehicles from roughly 2003 to 2014. The data obtained is then used for key programming or to adapt the ECU/TCU to the car.

⚠ WarningIMPORTANT: if the module (engine or transmission ECU) is not in its original state, for example because the PIN/CS has already been changed with an aftermarket tool, the calculated data may be wrong. The function does not work on Immo V vehicles such as MQB, MLB and BCM2.

Procedure

  1. For the engine ECU open "Special functions" > "Engine Control Unit" > "Engine control unit Immo III/IV calculate CS", or "Immo 3/4 parts adaptation" > "Engine control unit Immo III/IV calculate CS".
  2. For the transmission ECU open "Special functions" > "Immo 3/4 parts adaptation" > "Transmission control unit Immo 4 calculate CS".
  3. Start the function: a connection is established with the ECU and the required data is read. Only a connection to the module is needed, the whole vehicle does not have to be connected, so you can work on the bench.
  4. Wait for the data to be sent to the server and the calculation to complete.
  5. Note down the PIN/CS displayed: you can use it for key programming or to adapt the ECU/TCU to the car.
