Read/Update ConfigData and airbag crash data clearing [95640] - Cayenne 92A from MY 2011

The "Read/Update ConfigData" function reads and updates the Airbag control unit's ConfigData [95640] over OBDII on the Cayenne from MY 2011 (listed in the manual as Cayenne 29A). On the same car and with the same ConfigData type [95640] it also supports clearing the crash data over OBDII.

Procedure

1. Connect the AVDI to the car's OBDII socket, switch the ignition on and start "Abrites Diagnostics for Porsche".
2. Open the special function "Read/Update ConfigData".
3. Select the model "Cayenne 29A from MY 2011" and the "Airbag" unit with ConfigData type [95640].
4. To read the configuration data, run the read over OBDII and save the ConfigData file to the PC as a backup before making any changes.
5. To write a modified configuration use the update function: the ConfigData [95640] is written back into the Airbag control unit over OBDII.
6. For crash data clearing use the "clear crash data" function over OBDII, available for the Airbag of the Cayenne 29A from MY 2011 with ConfigData type [95640].
7. Re-read the ConfigData and check in diagnostics that the airbag light is off and no DTCs are stored.
