Procedure
From the main screen select the vehicle model and double-click the control unit you want to code to open the diagnostic session.
Open the coding function and choose "Coding - Settings": the window shows the unit's coding characteristics and lets you change them.
Select the option category. On the Boxster 987 (2005-2010) PAS example the categories are "Central locking system", "Comfort functions", "Key 1", "Key 2", "Key 3", "Key 4 to 6".
Once the category is selected, the list of options belonging to it appears below.
Click the item you want in the "Value" column: depending on the option you either pick from a list of possible values or type the value directly.
Press "Code" to write the change to the control unit. Only one item is changed at a time: for several options, repeat the select-value-"Code" sequence.
When you're done, read the coding back to confirm the values are as set and clear any DTCs generated during the session.
