Head lights start-up - Panamera 970, Cayenne 2011+, Boxster 981, 911 991, Macan

Adapts a new or used headlight unit to the car on Panamera 970, Cayenne from 2011, Boxster 981, 911 991 and Macan. The software reads the vehicle configuration and works out on its own which steps are needed: reprogramming, coding, VIN writing and headlight beam calibration.

Procedure

1. Connect the AVDI to the OBDII socket, switch the ignition on and start "Abrites Diagnostics for Porsche".
2. Open the "Head lights start-up" function for the model you are working on (Panamera 970, Cayenne 2011+, Boxster 981, 911 991, Macan).
3. Select the headlight you are working on (left or right) and press "Next": the software examines the vehicle configuration and determines the steps needed for the start-up.
4. Read the window listing the preconditions that must be met for the procedure to succeed, then press "Next".
5. The next page shows the list of steps to be carried out. Depending on the case nothing may be needed, or only the "Head Beam Adjustment" calibration, or coding + VIN writing, or coding + VIN writing + calibration, up to the full case including reprogramming of the headlight control unit.
6. Select the first step in the list and press "Next" to run it; the program shows the progress of the execution.
7. Carry on with the remaining steps in order, from top to bottom: reprogramming of the headlight control unit (left and/or right), writing the VIN read from the vehicle into the headlight control unit, automatic coding of the headlight control unit (default coding calculated from the vehicle configuration), "Head Beam Adjustment" calibration.
8. When finished, check the lights come on, the headlight works dynamically and no fault codes are stored.
