Adapting a new or used alarm control unit (Teach control unit) - Boxster 986, 911 996, Carrera GT

Porsche Interface Classic Keys / Immo Advanced ⏱ 30-60 min 8 steps

Lets you adapt a new or used alarm module to the car on Boxster 986, 911 996 and Carrera GT. If the module is used, its dump must first be prepared with the dedicated special function in the Dump tool.

Required licences

Hardware / cables

  • AVDI
  • programmatore EEPROM
⚠ WarningA used alarm module CANNOT be taught as it is: its dump must first be modified with the function "Porsche (9x6) - enable Alarm module immobilizer code programming [93C6x]" in the Dump tool and written back to the module. Only then can "Teach control unit" be run from the start.

Procedure

  1. Connect the AVDI to the car's OBDII socket and start "Abrites Diagnostics for Porsche".
  2. If the alarm module is used (not virgin): read its dump with a programmer, open it in the Dump tool and apply the special function "Porsche (9x6) - enable Alarm module immobilizer code programming [93C6x]".
  3. Write the modified dump back to the alarm module and refit it to the car.
  4. Select the model "Boxster 986, 911 996, Carrera GT" and open the function "Teach control unit".
  5. Follow the wizard: in the first window enter the immobiliser code (immobilizer code) of the alarm module, 8 bytes.
  6. Press "Next" to work through the following wizard windows to the end.
  7. On the final "Next" the alarm module is adapted to the car.
  8. Check starting, central locking and alarm status.
