Adapting a new Kessy/immobiliser module and a new ELV on Cayenne (up to 2010)

Porsche Interface Classic Keys / Immo Advanced ⏱ 30-60 min 11 steps

The "Teach Kessy/immobilizer" function for Cayenne up to 2010 adapts a new Kessy/immobiliser module to the vehicle, writes its coding and learns the keys. The same section also holds the "Teach ELV" function for adapting a new electronic steering column lock module.

Required licences

Hardware / cables

  • AVDI
  • cavo OBDII
⚠ WarningYou need the immobiliser code (Login) of the NEW Kessy module: without that code neither the Kessy nor the ELV adaptation can be completed. Model year, drive side (right- or left-hand drive) and coding must match the vehicle, otherwise the module will stay non-functional.

Procedure

  1. Fit the new Kessy/immobiliser module to the vehicle and obtain its immobiliser code (Login).
  2. Connect the AVDI to the Cayenne's OBDII socket and start "Abrites Diagnostics for Porsche".
  3. Open "Special Functions" and select "Kessy/immobilizer functions": the procedure selection window appears.
  4. Select "Teach Kessy/immobilizer" for the model "Cayenne (-2010)": the wizard starts.
  5. In the first window enter the model year of the new Kessy/immobiliser module.
  6. In the next window state the vehicle type: left-hand drive or right-hand drive.
  7. Enter the number of keys to be learned for the new Kessy/immobiliser module and press "Next": the new Kessy module is adapted to the vehicle.
  8. Enter the coding configuration of the new Kessy module.
  9. When prompted, insert a new key into the ignition switch.
  10. Enter the immobiliser code (Login) of the new Kessy module and press "Next": the coding is written into the new Kessy and all the requested keys are learned to the vehicle. The "Teach Kessy/immobilizer" function is complete.
  11. To adapt a new electronic steering column lock: in the same section select "Teach ELV" for "Cayenne (-2010)", enter the immobiliser code (Login) of the new Kessy module in the first window and press "Next" to start the learning procedure.
