Live Data reading and actuator tests on Opel/Vauxhall modules

Displays the control unit parameters live in table form and lets you activate or deactivate functions. Useful for correlating events with each other, for example checking whether there is a lag between pressing the accelerator pedal and the engine revs rising.

Procedure

1. Connect the AVDI, turn the ignition ON and start the Opel/Vauxhall software.
2. Run the scan and double-click the module you want to analyse.
3. Select the live data display function: all the parameters are shown in a table updated in real time.
4. Pick the parameters relevant to the fault you are chasing and keep an eye on them while you operate the vehicle (pedal, controls, electrical loads).
5. Compare how the values behave over time to spot correlations between an event and the control unit's reaction (classic example: lag between accelerator and RPM rise).
6. If you need a targeted test, use the test options and the activation/deactivation functions available for the selected module.
7. Document the abnormal values before you start work: together with the DTCs they are the basis for the diagnosis.
