Key programming on Opel Vivaro and Movano (all keys in a single session)

Opel Interface Classic Keys / Immo Medium ⏱ 20-40 min 8 steps

On Vivaro and Movano, unlike the other Opel models, all transponder keys are programmed in a single session. That is why, once you select these models, the only active button is "Program transponder-key".

Required licences

Hardware / cables

  • AVDI
⚠ WarningAt the end of the procedure every previously programmed key is erased and ONLY the keys programmed in this session remain working: collect all of the customer's keys before you start.

Procedure

  1. Gather every key that has to keep working on the vehicle: any key not programmed in this session will be lost.
  2. Connect the AVDI, turn the ignition ON and open the Opel/Vauxhall software.
  3. Start the key programming function and select Vivaro or Movano: the only enabled button will be "Program transponder-key".
  4. Press "Program transponder-key": no Security Code has to be entered, the software extracts it and enters it automatically.
  5. When the software asks, state how many keys you want to program in total.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions: insert and remove each key exactly when the software asks for it, keeping to the order.
  7. Once the last key is done the software closes the procedure: from this point on, only the keys just programmed are valid.
  8. Try every key for cranking before handing the vehicle back.
