KP002: BCM unlock and alarm deactivation over OBDII on JLR 2020+ (all keys lost)
JLRInterface ClassicKeys / ImmoAdvanced⏱ varies (up to 72 hours)7 steps
The KP002 is the Abrites device that unlocks the BCM on Jaguar/Land Rover vehicles from 2020 onwards, making it possible to program new keys in all keys lost cases. This is the in-car variant, connecting to the OBDII socket and to the internal RFA CAN.

⚠ WarningYou need the JL006 licence, plus an AVDI and an active AMS. The procedure can take up to 72 hours: a stable power supply must stay connected to the vehicle throughout. If the LED flashes alternating green and red the CAN wires are wrongly connected; a steady red LED means the device is not working, almost always because of incorrect connections.
Procedure
Check coverage: JLR models from 2020 onwards; supported BCMs include (non-exhaustive list) L8B2-14F041-AF on the 2020 Defender and JPLA-14F041-BG on the 2019 Evoque.
Connect a stable power supply to the vehicle: the procedure can take up to 72 hours.
Locate the internal RFA CAN wires under the driver's seat and connect the KP002 needle clips: on a 2021 Defender, for example, CAN HI (device red wire) to the yellow/orange wire and CAN LO (device blue wire) to the yellow/purple wire.
Plug the KP002 device into the vehicle's OBDII socket.
Watch the LED: it flashes orange once, then switches to a fast green flash (connection test). If the connections are correct the green flash slows down, meaning the device is working.
Let the device work without disconnecting anything. When it finishes the LED stays steady green: the vehicle alarm is off and the BCM unlocked.
Go ahead and program the new keys with the key learning function suited to the vehicle.
