CCF Editor: reading, editing and rewriting the Central Car Configuration on Jaguar/Land Rover

The "CCF Editor" special function opens the vehicle's central configuration (CCF): you read it straight from the car, save it to file, load a previously saved configuration and edit the parameters (vehicle type, number of doors, drivetrain, engine, fuel, alternator, left/right-hand drive, gearbox, tank capacity, alarm, massage seats, headlamp type and much more), then write them back to the car.

Procedure

1. Connect the AVDI to the OBDII socket, start Abrites diagnostics for Jaguar/Land Rover Online and identify the vehicle.
2. Go into "Special Functions" and open "CCF Editor": the "Central Configuration Editor" appears.
3. Press "Read Car CCF" to read the configuration from the vehicle, then "Save As" to save it to file as a backup.
4. Find the parameter you want to change with the "Search MDF, name or value" search field (by MDF code, name or value).
5. In the "Description" column open the parameter's drop-down menu and pick the new value; the "Value" field updates accordingly.
6. Press "SHOW CHANGES" to review only the edited entries; "Discard" throws away the changes not yet written.
7. Press "Write To Car" to write the updated configuration to the vehicle and wait for confirmation.
8. To reapply a previously saved configuration use "Load File" and then "Write To Car".
9. Switch the ignition off and on again, check the functions you changed and clear the DTC generated during the write.
