The PIN code is the code needed to programme Hyundai/Kia keys. The software can either calculate it from the last digits of the VIN (PIN by VIN) or extract it directly from the vehicle. It is the mandatory step before "Key Learning".

⚠ WarningWith a mechanical key the software shows a message before proceeding: read it in full and check that its content really matches the vehicle you are working on before you confirm.
Procedure
Connect the AVDI to the OBDII socket and to the PC, switch the ignition ON and open "Abrites Diagnostics for Hyundai/KIA".
Go into "Special functions" and open "Key Learning".
If you want to calculate the code from the chassis number, choose PIN extraction by VIN: enter the last 6 digits of the vehicle's VIN and press "CALCULATE". The software returns the PIN code.
If you prefer to extract the PIN from the car, choose PIN extraction from the vehicle: the software asks you to select the vehicle's key type.
If you select Smart Key type, follow the on-screen instructions step by step exactly as shown.
If you select mechanical key type, read the message that appears and check that its content matches the vehicle; only then confirm.
At the end of the procedure the software calculates the PIN code and displays it on screen.
Write the PIN down: you need it straight afterwards for "Key Learning", for the "Neutralization" function and for the other immobiliser jobs.
