Hyundai/Kia cluster calibration: aligning the instrument cluster counters after fitting a used unit

"Cluster calibration" is used after replacing a module with a second-hand unit: it aligns the values of the various counters, avoiding mismatches and letting the vehicle work correctly.

⚠ WarningBefore you proceed the software shows a very important message: confirm with "I confirm" only if the operation complies with the local regulations in force.

Procedure

  1. Connect the AVDI to the OBDII socket, switch the ignition ON and open the Hyundai/Kia software.
  2. Go into "Special functions" and open "Cluster calibration".
  3. Select the model and year of the vehicle you are working on.
  4. Read the warning message that appears in full and confirm with "I confirm" only if the job complies with local regulations.
  5. Read the value currently held in the vehicle with the read-current-value function.
  6. Enter the correct value to be set, double-checking the figure you type before proceeding.
  7. Press "Set" to write the new value.
  8. Re-read the current value to confirm it has been accepted, then switch the ignition off and on and check the display on the cluster.
