The "Key Learning" function programmes keys on Hyundai and Kia vehicles, both keyless and mechanical keys. It requires the PIN code, obtained with "PIN by VIN" or by reading the PIN from the vehicle. If the remote is not programmed together with the key, the dedicated "Remote programming" function is used.

Procedure
First obtain the vehicle's PIN code with "PIN by VIN" or with the read-PIN-from-vehicle function: without the PIN you cannot go ahead with key programming.
Connect the AVDI to the OBDII and to the PC, ignition ON, and open "Abrites Diagnostics for Hyundai/KIA".
Go into "Special functions" and open "Key Learning"; choose the key programming option.
Insert the key to be programmed into the ignition lock.
Press "Teach" to start the key learning.
Follow the on-screen instructions to the letter and read every message that appears carefully: the sequence changes depending on the vehicle and the key type.
Once programming is finished test the key: engine start and, where fitted, the keyless function.
If the remote was not programmed together with the key, go back to "Special functions" and open "Remote programming": it is the function designed exactly for the cases where the remote is not programmed with the key.
In the "Remote programming" screen follow the on-screen instructions precisely, then check central locking lock and unlock from the remote.
