Starting Abrites Diagnostics for Mazda Online: PC requirements, internet connection and port 8443

Abrites Diagnostics for Mazda Online is an online application: it only works with the PC connected to the internet and with the AVDI interface. This guide covers preparing the PC, checking connectivity and launching the software from the Abrites Quick Start.

Procedure

1. Check the PC: the software installs on any Windows system above XP and needs the AVDI interface to work.
2. Get the PC online. Either a WI-FI network or a shared 3G/4G connection from a phone will do: what matters is that the connection stays stable for the whole diagnostic session.
3. Check with your provider that port 8443 is allowed. That is the port the application uses to talk to the Abrites server: if it is blocked, the software will not work properly.
4. Connect the AVDI to the vehicle's OBDII socket and to the PC, then turn the ignition ON.
5. Open the Abrites Quick Start and select the Abrites Diagnostics for Mazda icon to launch the application.
6. Once the software is running, check the icon in the top right corner of the screen: it shows internet connection status and signal strength. If the signal is missing or weak, sort the network out before carrying on with the diagnosis.
7. If you need to work in a different language, press the three horizontal lines in the top right corner and choose the language the software should run in.
