The "PATS INcode Calculator" special function is used alongside Ford/Mazda IDS: IDS gives you an outcode and waits for the matching incode to authorise key erase/programming or module initialisation. The Abrites software calculates the incode you have to type into IDS.

⚠ WarningThere are two types of outcode: the "SINGLE" one has xx40 in the first group of digits and is used for key erasing or key programming, the "DOUBLE" one has xx44 and is returned when module initialisation is required. You must enter the prefix (PATS Outcode Prefix) exactly as IDS gives it to you: xx44 has to be entered as xx44, otherwise the calculated incode will not be valid.
Procedure
Start the Abrites software, open the "Special Functions" list and select the "OutIncode Calculator" icon: the calculator dialog appears.
Start Ford IDS and connect it to the car. Follow its instructions and let IDS read the vehicle data.
Read the outcode line on the IDS screen. Example of a "SINGLE" outcode: Outcode: - 0040 8EDB43 000000 (used during key erasing or key programming).
If module initialisation is required instead, IDS returns a "DOUBLE" outcode, for example: Outcode: - 0044 8EDB43 ABCDEF.
Identify the type from the first group of digits: SINGLE = xx40, DOUBLE = xx44. Make sure you enter the outcode prefix (PATS Outcode Prefix) exactly as supplied by IDS.
Enter the digits of the Outcode line into the three text boxes of the Abrites calculator (first group, second group, third group) and press the "Calculate" button.
After a few moments the calculated INcode appears in the "Incode" box.
Enter the calculated value into IDS and carry on with the IDS procedure (key erasing/programming or module initialisation).
