Two key-management functions: "Spare Key Programming Enable / Disable" turns the owner's-manual spare key programming procedure on or off; "Unlimited Key Mode" is for customers who need more than 8 keys for the same vehicle (typical fleet requirement).

⚠ WarningThe 8-digit number chosen by the customer cannot be 00000000 or 00000001 and only accepts digits 0-9 and letters A-F. Every key on the vehicle (or on all the customer's vehicles, if that is what you want) must carry the SAME code, otherwise they will not work. If the UNL_KEY_ID PID is not available it means unlimited key mode is active and must be switched off before you can see the stored code.
Procedure
Connect the AVDI, put the vehicle on a stable power supply and start the software with the correct vehicle context.
SPARE KEY: open the "Special Functions" list and select "Spare Key Programming Enable / Disable" to enable or disable the spare key programming procedure described in the vehicle owner's manual.
UNLIMITED KEY MODE - agree with the customer on the 8-digit number to be programmed into all of his keys. Allowed characters: digits 0-9 and letters A-F. The values 00000000 and 00000001 are not allowed.
Open "Unlimited Key Mode Enable / Disable" from the Special Functions list and enable the mode: a unique transponder security code is created, which then has to be programmed into every key of the vehicle so that they all carry the same key code.
Program that same code into all the vehicle's keys (or into every key the customer wants to work on a single vehicle).
CHECKING / CHANGING THE STORED CODE: if the UNL_KEY_ID PID is not available, unlimited key mode is active and has to be disabled before you can see the stored code. In this state you can still program unlimited keys to the vehicle.
To see or change the stored code, run the unlimited key mode disable procedure, then monitor the UNL_KEY_ID PID and compare its value against the code chosen in step 3: it must not be the same key code.
Test every key one by one after the job, cranking the engine with each of them.
