Reading and clearing DTCs on a single Ford module ("Fault Codes" and "Clear DTC")

Used to read the fault codes stored in a specific Ford module and to clear them after the repair. You use it after the full scan, to work module by module.

Procedure

1. Connect the AVDI to the OBDII socket and start "Abrites diagnostics for Ford Online" with the vehicle detected.
2. Run the scan (automatic or with "Scan All") to get the list of modules fitted to the vehicle.
3. Select the module whose faults you want to read: a new screen opens with the module identification.
4. Press the "Fault Codes" button to read the fault codes stored in the unit and note them down before clearing anything.
5. Carry out the necessary repairs on the system or component indicated by the DTCs.
6. Press the "Clear DTC" button to clear the fault codes from the module.
7. Read the "Fault Codes" again to see whether any fault comes back: codes that return straight away point to a fault that is still present.
