Ford Online Service Functions: DPF static regeneration and AdBlue reset

Ford/Mazda Interface New Service Basic ⏱ 10-30 min 5 steps

The "Service functions" menu in Abrites Diagnostics for Ford Online offers two service operations: static (forced, vehicle stationary) regeneration of the DPF particulate filter and a reset of the AdBlue system after a top-up or a component replacement. Each one is started with its own "Execute" button.

Required licences

Hardware / cables

  • AVDI
⚠ WarningStatic regeneration: vehicle stationary outdoors, engine up to temperature, enough fuel, power supply connected; the exhaust gets red hot, keep people and flammable materials well away and do not interrupt the procedure. AdBlue reset: only run it after fixing the cause (level, replaced component), otherwise the warning comes back.

Procedure

  1. Connect the AVDI to the OBDII socket, start "Abrites diagnostics for Ford Online" and wait for the vehicle to be identified; you need a stable internet connection and an active AMS.
  2. Press "Service" in the top bar: the "Service Functions" screen opens with the list of available operations.
  3. For the particulate filter press "Execute" next to "DPF static regeneration" and follow the on-screen instructions (engine running, required conditions) until it completes.
  4. For AdBlue press "Execute" next to "AdBlue reset": the software resets the system and the remaining mileage warning on the instrument cluster.
  5. When finished, read and clear the DTC in the modules involved (PCM and any SCR modules) and check the warning does not come back.
