Theft protection: blocking the learning of additional keys via OBDII

A dedicated function that prevents additional keys being learned to the vehicle over OBDII. The protection can be installed or removed; it only affects functions carried out over OBDII.

⚠ WarningA working key is required both to install and to remove the protection. If the protection is installed and all keys are then lost, it may be necessary to read the immobiliser with a programmer.

Procedure

  1. Check that the vehicle is covered: A6/Allroad 2005-2010 and Q7 2005-2014; A4/A5/Q5 from 2007 and A6/A7/A8/VW Touareg from 2010; almost all VDO instrument clusters with NEC+24C32/24C64 EEPROM.
  2. Make sure you have a working key for the vehicle.
  3. Open the "Theft protection" special function.
  4. Choose whether to install or remove the protection and confirm the operation.
