Steering lock adaptation: adapting the steering lock on Touareg/Phaeton/Cayenne/Continental/A8

The "Steering lock adaptation" window is used to adapt the steering lock control module on VW Touareg/Phaeton, Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Continental and Audi A8. The adaptation can be carried out over CAN TP2.0 or K-KWP2000.

⚠ WarningThe function works ONLY with a NEW steering column/steering lock, or if the original one is out of sync. You also need the immobiliser security access code and a working (matched) key for the vehicle.

Procedure

  1. Check that the steering lock is new, or that the original one is genuinely out of sync.
  2. Get hold of the immobiliser security access code and a working (matched) key for the car.
  3. Open the "Steering lock adaptation" window.
  4. Select the communication protocol suited to the vehicle: CAN TP2.0 or K-KWP2000.
  5. Enter the security access code and run the adaptation.
