Service Interval: resetting the service light and changing service options

An application for resetting the service reminder, resetting the service interval parameters or changing the service options. On opening, the software connects to the instrument cluster and reads the available service interval information.

⚠ WarningThe values in the "New value" column of the "Applicable adaptation channels" are editable and the user can enter any value: writing arbitrary values into the instrument cluster's adaptation channels can corrupt the service parameters.

Procedure

  1. Open the "Service Interval" special function and wait for the software to connect to the instrument cluster and read the available information.
  2. Check which sections are enabled for that model and year: "Service reminder reset", "Service interval reset" and/or "Change service options".
  3. Look at the "Applicable adaptation channels" section: it shows the adaptation channels that will be changed, with current value, unit and a short description.
  4. Select the operation you want from the three available sections: the "New value" column is filled in automatically with the default values for the chosen option.
  5. If necessary, edit the values in the "New value" column of the applicable channels manually.
  6. Confirm to write the new values into the respective adaptation channels.
