⚠ WarningFor newer BMW bikes with DST transponders this is not the right procedure: use the BMW online software.
Procedure
Connect the TAG transponder programmer to the AVDI.
Connect the AVDI to the BMW bike's 10-pin diagnostic connector (CB008 cable); the connector is usually under the seat, depending on the model.
Open the "Special functions" tab and start "Key learning" for the BMW model selected.
Wait for the software to establish the diagnostic connection with the ECU.
Select the position in which you want to program the new key.
Follow the on-screen instructions for placing the transponder in the programmer's aerial.
Complete the procedure: the software tells you when the transponder is ready to start the engine.
Check the bike starts with the newly programmed key.
